Harriet Higgins is an experienced Clinical Psychologist who has worked in the NHS for fifteen years in Adult and Child and Family mental health settings. She has a specialist interest in working with parents during pregnancy and in the early years of their children’s lives. She has experience of working with a wide range of difficulties including antenatal and postnatal depression/anxiety, fertility issues and perinatal loss, birth trauma, parenting difficulties, attachment issues and the resurfacing of childhood difficulties. She is passionate about supporting people with issues relating to their relationships and is trained in both couple and family work.
Harriet takes an integrative approach and is experienced in a range of therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Attachment based models and Systemic Therapy. She draws from all of these different therapies to offer a comprehensive approach tailored to the meet peoples’ unique needs. Harriet is an HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist, a chartered member of the British Psychological Society, and a member of the Association for Infant Mental Health and the British Infertility Counselling Association.
