About Us

Welcome to the Parenthood In Mind practice

We are a collective of psychologists and psychotherapists dedicated to supporting individuals and couples as they contemplate becoming parents, attempt to become parents and potentially transition to parenthood.

We hold in mind that each reproductive journey is unique and potentially impacted by a range of reproductive events from trying to conceive, fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, couples issues, ending fertility treatment without the longed for child and transition to parenthood.

We see our core work as offering therapeutic support to anyone on a reproductive journey. Wherever they are on that journey. Whoever they are.

We are a culturally and racially diverse team and put cultural sensitivity at the heart of what we offer.

All of us have worked or work in a range of perinatal settings from perinatal mental health services, NICU, MBUs and NICUs.

We recognise and honour all the different routes to parenthood.

We know different types of support might work for you and so offer a range of therapeutic interventions, extended sessions, signposting, support groups, couples and family work, parent-infant therapy.

We can work with perinatal mental health diagnoses, but also understand perinatal difficulties within the framework of life transitions, reproductive identity, matresence and patresence.

We know that family-building may be different if you are solo, identify as LGBTQ+, are neurodivergent, from a global majority background, disabled and seek to hold your lived experience in mind always.
