Carol Levine
Integrative Psychotherapist
Carol has a Degree in Psychology and Social work. She then trained as an Integrative Psychotherapist and a Parent Infant Psychotherapist. She has a wealth of experience of working with people from all walks of life who have been affected by depression, anxiety, trauma and adverse life experiences which may be impacting on their relationships and their capacity to live in the way they would wish to.
Carol works in a way which is informed by psychoanalytic thinking and theories of attachment, but also draws on a variety of approaches in a way which is a suitable fit for the person she is working with and the circumstances being presented.
Carol has established and manages a Parent Infant Psychotherapy Service within the NHS. She is committed to the theory that intervening early, exploring and thinking together with parents about their own earlier experiences and working to understanding their babies helps to ease the transition for their baby into the world and themselves into parenthood.
Carol also has a private practise in North London, where she sees adolescents, adults and new parents, with or without their babies.
Carol is a full member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the Regents School of Psychotherapy and Psychology (RSPP)
She was the winner of the Peoples Choice Award in the 2017 Parent Infant Partnership UK Awards.
